Introduction
Hi Nathan. My name is Van and I am an international business student and this is my last year at MiraCosta. One of the school to which I applying is UCLA, in their business economics program. Along with all of my regular business focused curriculum I am also heavily involved with the community both on and off campus. I am the Gender Sexuality Alliance club President and I am one of Social Justice and Equity Fellows. I am super proud of the work that I do in the community and it is really an integral part of who I am, in fact it is one of the reasons I am choosing to go into international corporate law. They may sounds disconnected but with funds and resources I will further be able to help under privileged communities. I am headed towards research in fashion…not sure a specific focus but it already looks like increased intellect, settlements and technological advances are going to play a part. Your chosen topic sounds really interesting and I look forward to seeing your posts throughout the semester.
Hi Van, it’s really nice to meet you! Your work in the community already sounds commendable, and I would love to learn more about it during our time together. The international corporate law field is definitely growing with the reform of trade deals, so it’s really neat to learn this is the field you hope to get into. I wrote a small paper on ISDS provisions this past year, but that’s the extent of my knowledge in international corporate law. Also looking forward to reading your blog posts and tracking your research project; this should be a great semester!
