Week 4: Choosing a Topic

Hi everyone!

We have some wonderful introductions going! Please go back and respond to your colleagues so we can get to know each other. 🙂

If you haven’t edited your Profile so that you are receiving emails and have an image, please do so.

For this week (Week 2 for us but Week 4 of the semester) at the HHC, we’ll read what the University of British Columbia has to say about choosing a topic. This week we start choosing our topics to prepare for our library visit. (For San Elijo students, that is scheduled for Thursday, February 23 at 10:30, meeting in the Honors Lounge in 201A. For Oceanside, please ask your instructor.)

Here on the website, we ask Honors students to post twice a week:

  1. once about the reading/topic of the week, and
  2. once about something (or more than one something!) they’ve discovered in their own research.

So let us know your general topic this week, then go find one source/website/article about it that seems informative. Tell us about it in your second post, and be sure to cite that source (and link to it) so we can find it.

Be sure to ask your instructor if you have any questions.
