Introduction

Hello everyone! My name is Dominick Van Cleve and this is my fourth semester at MCC. I applied to the UC’s in November as a Political Science major.

I have always loved studying history. I am very interested in the historical development of the United States and the world as a whole because historical knowledge is a tool that I use constantly as I keep up to date on current events. My goal is to earn my BA in Political Science and then attend law school. While I have not yet decided on which area of the law I wish to focus on, I am interested in learning more about contracts and corporate law.

I graduated from Torrey Pines High School in 2015 and was on the Speech and Debate Team from my sophomore to senior year. I was recently hired by the school district as the head coach of that same Team, so that takes up most of my time outside of school and my other job. I look forward to the unique experience as an Honors contract student!
