Honors last two weeks! Paper/project proposals needed by Wednesday

Hi! We are nearing the end of the Honors portion of your class. The review of Hugo was due last night, and this week we finish reading The Victorians.
So far only one student has contacted me with their idea for their presentation or paper, due May 6. I’m sorry, but I won’t be able to accept late Honors work after that date. It is the concluding date for the Honors portion of the class.

From the Honors syllabus:

* Final project/paper

Throughout the parent course, you will be developing a theme based on your own interests. For the final project/paper for Honors, you may combine that theme with the Victorian era to provide examples, or you may choose to focus on the Victorian science/technology combination. Topic and format (visual presentation, formal paper, etc) will be individually decided with the instructor.

This final project/paper is separate from the work in the parent course, but it does not need to follow my work for Honors. In other words, there is no need to use any of the sources we’ve explored for Honors in your project.

A formal paper would require research, however, and there is little time. Unless you need a formal paper to submit with the university application or something, you might want to do a project in the form of a narrated slideshow, video, or annotated bibliography.

Please contact me by Wednesday to get approval for your final project/paper idea.
