Explore some of the ways that blogs have evolved as online teaching tools by learning about different approaches to using blogs and visiting courses that use blogs to share resources and present student work. This workshop will present some principles, give you some time to tour the blogosphere, and connect you to resources to help you set up and use a blog for a class or for your own professional development. How do you encourage dialogue among students, regarding current and topical subject matter, in an asynchronous environment? Wimba voiceboard allows simulation of the classroom discussion without requiring students to write excessively.“In many virtual learning environments, student and instructor communication is limited to text and static images. Important elements of face-to-face communication, including the nuances of voice, are missing from text-based discussions. Wimba Voice recaptures these elements, contributing to greater clarity and understanding. A variety of exciting techniques have been developed to bring Twitter into the classroom to generate new and vibrant connections with our students.
